The Gospel and Technology

Parents, it's a no-brainer that technology is a huge part of our world. For many, it's the first thing we check in the morning and the last thing we check at night. It's hard to go just about anywhere and not be influenced by technology, but can we say the same thing about the gospel? If the gospel is intended to impact every area of our life, shouldn't it also direct the way we interact with something as prevalent as technology?

Last year the Student Ministry held an event called "The Gospel and Sexuality" as we looked at how the gospel shapes our view concerning issues like sexuality, purity, and gender. This year, we will be holding an event called The Gospel and Technology as we look at how our understanding and application of the gospel should be seen in our interaction with all things technology including things like cell phones, movies, music, social media, and more.

This event is open to all parents and their children.

*Disclaimer* Due to the nature of the issue there will be mention of pornography and other sexually explicit things available through various forms of Technology.
